Peace is in the hands of the agrresor

What would you do if you knew of a group of people who only spend their time making promises and nothing following through on their promises?

Better yet, what would you do if you knew that these promise breakers actually threaten your security by thei r inaction and obsession on their own well-being?

Well that is what you have had in America for a very long time. It is my assessment that terrorism is what it is today because all the politicians who have been to involved in their own piece of the pie to take care of the real and serious issues.

The first terrorist event that I remember hearing of was the 50plus Americans taken by Iranian citizens. This was more than 25 five years ago.

In that time terrorist have gotten more bold and lethal.

When America leaves Iraq, the terrorists are not going to go hide in a cave. I say they go back to planning how to get at Americans in America.

Right now terrorists are enjoying themselves, as they make Americans appear impotent in Iraq. Why do they need to come to the USA when everyday they are inflicting their psychological terror by killing Iraqis and Americans in Iraq?

In addition, if any one thinks that they are going to say “oh well the Americans have left I guess we stop bothering them now” they are crazy.

If you look at history, you can see that terrorism has always been around. The event of the 50 plus hostages was not the first. It is just the first I remember hearing about in this world.

To me it is very simple. People with money who want to make more money are convincing extremist that capitalist America is their enemy. However, to me this is not a religious war. This is an economic war. Osama Bin Ladan and people like him want to own all the land, banks, and control all the citizens so they can be the richest people on the planet.

They are using religion as a control structure to manipulate behavior. The great problem is that these dummies cannot see that they are been sent of to the slaughter by people living in gold palaces, eating all the pork available, and screwing every woman they want.

Unfortunately, America was put in the middle of their lust for power game. In addition, today these terrorists have become convinced that evil America with her beauty queens who drink, party, and seduce younger girls need to be destroyed.

Let me ask you. Where do you want to be? Lying on the floor as you watch your guts boiling in the fire or do you want to put a bullet hole in the enemies’ head before he gets a chance at you?

I have said it before. Under no circumstances could president Bush leave a person like Sadam Huessien in power considering how real September 11, 2001 made the annihilation of the USA.

If Mr. Bush had left Sadam alone and Sadam had sold biological, chemical, and/or nuclear weapons to terrorist that those terrorist used to attack America what would the critics be criticizing president Bush for today; maybe not doing enough.

It is kill or be killed. American politicians are playing politics with this serious issue. Moreover, Americans are not enraged enough to demand that politicians do their jobs and stop playing political football with this issue.

In addition, every day I see the enemy seeping in increasingly in to American culture. It will not be long before bloodthirsty thugs surround you and you will have no one to blame but your self.

Leave Iraq and prove that Americans do not have what is needed to be unified in fending of an enemy and watch the enemy pick you off like a serial killer in a cheap amusement park.

By finishing the job in Iraq, you keep an ally and the world sees that the people of America got what it takes to meet all threats.

In closing, peace is great. If the terrorist said,” We will stop if all people who have been sounding horn against get on a space ship and leave this planet”, I would be the first one on the shuttle if you could prove to me I could trust a terrorist.

Guess what? You cannot trust any of them. See peace is not in the hands of the victims. Peace is in the hands of the people who are victimizing people.

How many of you think you can invite a terrorist over to your home for peace talks? I would invite them over, but to slaughter them. See, even as a child of God I hate these people.

Where do they get off thinking they can attack anyone they want? No, savages cannot be allowed to rule. All humanity is lost when thugs are in charge.

I would shoot them in the head them I would go to their homes and shoot everyone else in their family in the head too.

They want to hate me and feel free to jeopardize my life than do not miss. In addition, all you people working for the enemy with your cute criticisms, I hope you do not live to regret your nonchalant attitude.

Terrorism is the great challenge of our time. Are we chumps or warriors?

Decisions and policies are being made by politicians so they can score points on TV - Kingbee

I'd love to believe that.

The fact is, lobbyist dollars speak much louder than American JoeUser words.

Americans can protest around the world, voters can vote in agreeance against these wars (we even tossed out the Republican Majority against our wishes), and public criticism can reach critical mass - marching across the streets across the world (how many people do you see marching for invasion of Iraq or Iran?), but the fact is, the minority holds the money and when they speak of invading a country for our interests, it's only ever for theirs. Money does talk. And nobody here holds the reigns. Afghanistan, Iraq, Serbia, Iran-Contra, Vietnam (look up Gulf of Tonkin via Wikipedia). Our latest budget provides more monies for War across the world then any domestic issue (excluding social security which is a trust fund that we rob from anyway). Who is holding the reigns? Special 'defense' (offense) contractors looking to make their next big buck at the taxpayer expense is the answer to scrutinize - follow the flying dollars.

Finally, things have come to such exposure it's not difficult to realize that we invest in and spend most of our American dollars for WAR. War we don't care for, war we don't agree with, war that is without merit and War that costs the lives of our family members, friends, and neighbours.

I saw the most ASININE comment the other day - it said, GIVE WAR A CHANCE!

We've been giving war a chance since the end of WWII; wherein we declared a 'Cold War' on our ALLIES - the Soviets - whilst giving them 'aide' - supporting their military build up. We've done nothing but hop from American hotspot 'interest #1' to 'American interest Hotspot #2' and it's become time that even the most 'security minded' among us realize we are being marketed as fools to support the standard of living for defense contractors.

That is why anti-war protesters say "GIVE PEACE A CHANCE!"

Because we haven't - in a long, long time.

It's not going to last much longer. We're starting to wake up. But we've got to wake up in a big way. We need to start firing those that don't listen to us and start voting for people that represent our interests, Republican, Democratic, Libertarian, Constitutionalist, Green or Independent.

Apparently, we can't even debate the Iraq involvement because of some Republicans and Democrats.

WASHINGTON - Republicans blocked a full-fledged Senate debate over
Iraq on Monday, but Democrats vowed they still would find a way to force
President Bush to change course in a war that has claimed the lives of more than 3,000 U.S. troops.

"We must heed the results of the November elections and the wishes of the American people," said Majority Leader Harry Reid

As far as the will of the people only 40 percent of elligable voters voted and of these republicans only got around 21 percent public support.

I wish every american would vote so we could see the actual support for the war.

I have yet to talk to anyone opposed to the war in my everyday life.

I have yet to talk to anyone opposed to the war in my everyday life.

are you kidding me? i can't find hardly anyone who supports this war? i've spent the last 2 years accepting apologies from friends of mine who know now that they were lead astray. apparantly the scent of coffee hasn't hit your nose.

this article was factually incorrect and just puts up typical strawman arguments ...and a whole lot of nonsense.

people who oppose the war in iraq are not weak. they are not nec. anti war. but mostof em do realize that one must pick and choose their battles wisely. invading iraq was not a wise move. the overextension of empires has brought em down almost every time. iof we don't wise up and redeploy and live to fight another day when we might actually have a shot at winning something or at least making a positive mark is the smart move. leading with your face is not "the brave move of a warrior." a warrior knows when to attack, and how. a warrior just doesn't lash out at all that disagrees with them.

I have said it before. Under no circumstances could president Bush leave a person like Sadam Huessien in power considering how real September 11, 2001 made the annihilation of the USA.

when were we annihilated? we were attacked, an attack that caused some pain, but did nothing tactically to even suggest our way of life or government were to be overthrown. we licked our wounds and began to go after the people who actually attacked us...then we went off course, mislead by the president and vice president and their portable punditry.

If Mr. Bush had left Sadam alone and Sadam had sold biological, chemical, and/or nuclear weapons to terrorist that those terrorist used to attack America what would the critics be criticizing president Bush for today; maybe not doing enough.

sadam was in a box. our own military said that. colin powell said that shortly before 9/11 as secretary of state. there were many ways to take saddam out of power that were strategically smarter than leading with our face into baghdad. you seem to want to equivacate machismo and blowing up a country with being intelligent. like runnin east lookin for a sunset.

there never was the choice of either attacking or "leaving him alone." just more strawman b.s.

How many of you think you can invite a terrorist over to your home for peace talks? I would invite them over, but to slaughter them. See, even as a child of God I hate these people.

that's real christian of ya, lmao. deception is ok for you? hate is ok for you? puhleeeassseee....

By finishing the job in Iraq, you keep an ally and the world sees that the people of America got what it takes to meet all threats.

the job was finished when we got the man we came for. it is not our job to referee a civil war.

an ally? al sadr's gonna be our ally? you do know that he controls parliment and malaki is taking orders from him, right? and if he fails, the shiite clerics will merely put someone else in his place.

we have no real ally in that country. feel free not to believe me, but notice how they will jump up 1,000,000 at a time and protest any injustice agaist islam but not 1 protest against killing americans who are trying to rebuild their country. absolutely NO leader will stand in front of their people and endorse us and what we are doing. even the saudi's and egyptians and other supposed "allies" of ours won't ever say anything nice about us when addressing their people. not one word about the BILLIONS of aid we send over there every year.

america is acting like chumps in iraq. the smart warrior would know this isn't a worthy fight. stopping terrorism is, if it is done by outsmarting the terrorists. no victory will come by thinking you can out military them. it isn't a military fight primarily. the leaders of terrorist organizations won't be converted, that is a given. but the rank and file can be won over. just like all the nazi soldiers who didn't continue the fuhrer's plans and just went back to being a normal german after wwII.

this morning, it was finally reported that major terrorists are members of parliment. one guy was a mastermind of 2 embassy bombings in 83. we already convicted him in kuwait inabsentia. but nothing can be done as he has "diplomatic immunity." is our "ally" helping out? of course not. they have no interest in our interests.

calling me, who has opposed this war since before the ill advised invasion, anything that suggests that my patriotism and loyalty to this country is anything less than any other american is shameful. it is my duty and obligation as an american citizen to voice my opposition to this war. to oppose dissent and calling it anything derrogatory is simply unamerican.

Yes we "were" attacked. And "more" than once also.

and how many times were we attacked by Iraq?

0

maybe we should concentrate more on fighting al queda in the 80+ countries they are actually operating in.

simple fact is that we are being chumps by leading with our face in iraq. fight terrorism, btut do it in a smart way, not a bone-head thug way like this administration seems to only want to do by blowing over 800 billion dollars reffereeing a civil war that will eventually drive us out of the country. 800 billion that could be used more effectively and intelligently than what we have now.

and pulling out of combat operations in iraq and redeploying forces does not preclude us from fighting what few al quaeda remnants that are scattered about. we can do it covertly, with intelligence and with surgical strikes...house to house with soldiers who don't speak the language and know little or nothing of the culture is not the right direction.

Okay so you dont believe that Sadam would of engaged in cooperation with terrrorist to harm America.

After all he was such a nice man.
on Feb 06, 2007
Some peope just want to live in lala land. Sadam was very dangerous. He proved how dangerous he was with his acts. No one in the international community was willing to do something about his desire to make chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons.

In addition, why does some one like Sadam invest so much in these types of weapons.

In closing, i find it strange that you belive Sadam was not a threat and you give the president any credibility.

People like Sadam have been terrorising people ever since the human race started.

there you go again (to quote ronald reagan) ... your premise is false. it was never a choice between overt military invasion, occupation and nation building or "be his best friend."

it's funny that far righties can get ultra creative when it comes to lowering taxes and drilling in anwar but when it comes to terrorism it's "lead with your face" or do nothing...absolute NONSENSE!.

it is that mentality that is causing our resources to be drained, our military stretched and if anything, will hand the terrorists the victory you fear.

wke up, we have been chumps. we NEED to outsmart them, not outgun them.

I'm sorry but that is false.  There were many countries that were willing to help Saddam obtain and hide his quest for WMD's.  France is the first that comes to mind.

Cant outsmart some one without a brain. And who are you to judge when you cant even start your sentences with capital letters.
on Feb 07, 2007
Is that your contribution to something so serious as roothless thugs killing americans? Really? Trying to be cute is now the better arguement?

Oh, you're the grammar police too? (notice I used correct punctuation in that sentence, but not in this one, which, by now, most people would classify as a run on, if we were in 7th grade english, which we aren't, and if i cared, which i don't since this is casual writing in a response on a lil ol blog, not a formal piece...so...what was your point? )

and btw, if you think the guys runnin al quaeda are without a brain, you got another thing comin pal...not respecting your enemy, especially one with a lot of very smart guys in it, is a sure way to get your ass kicked. it's a straight path to chumptown, population ---You! (and us, since we are all in this together...let's not try to forget that we are on the same side here, ok?)

oh, one more thing, "cant" should have an apostrophe, if we are being all grammatically correct and all...it's "can't" (it's not very good form to correct another's grammar if you are gonna make mistakes in that very sentence, lol)

Is that your contribution to something so serious as roothless thugs killing americans? Really? Trying to be cute is now the better arguement?

lighten up, francis (to quote stripes...that was a funny movie, ever see it?)

seriously...again, we are on the same side here pal...and if it takes "being cute" or whatever (i come from pittsburgh and grew up with chuck noll being the head coach of the steelers who used to say "whatever it takes")to get your attention so maybe you might reconsiderr your "let's blow em all up" headstrong "philosophy" well then, yeah.

but you seem to be lookin for somethin else...so tell me, what's the best approach to get thru to you?
