We are foolish if we think that we can expect justice from the powers at be. I am sure that there is no reason for people in authority to work with a common sense understanding. In addition, I am sure fair play and respect is out the window. Those of us expecting teachers, doctors, police, judges, politicians, and any other authority figure to listen to us are fooling our selves. It is unfortunate but I know that we have entered the “us against them” era. They think one way and we th...

I am sitting here watching the official ceremony of president Ford’s funeral at Washington D.C. At a time Jesus Christ once was asked something, where he responded “…let the dead bury the dead”. When the body dies the soul leaves and is received in heaven or the other place. At the second, Mr. Ford’s body stopped functioning he appeared where he is going to spend eternity. Let us hope that God in heaven embraced him. Funerals and ceremonies are human creation made to make humans fe...

The big debate of the day is the president’s plan to increase the amount of military personnel in Iraq. I have heard several democrats say that Americans spoke on Nov. 7, 2007 and they do not want a troop increase in Iraq. Again, 60 percent of Americans do not think the security of the nation is important enough to be bothered to vote. The elections were close and I would say the distribution was 21% in favor of democrats and 19% in favor of republicans. Therefore, I would find the ...

Tonight the president is going to speak to the nation. The tragedy is that even before he has spoken the naysayers are already trashing the content of the speech. On previous occasions, I have written about the popularity of putting some one down just for the sake of putting them down. I know that many practice this sport. In addition, I know that the democrats have been playing politics with the Iraq issue just because it makes them look good in the mainstream news media. In my op...

Sometimes you say stuff but you just do not want to believe it. I have said stuff such as democrats only want to make president Bush look bad. The amount of sinister energy necessary for this deliberate effort to skew the facts in order to cause the president trouble is beyond the human ability to comprehend. However, there they were in front of the cameras calling Iraq Bush’s Vietnam and the worst mistake he ever made. I can tell that their comments have nothing to do with trut...

Of everything, I heard and read today what got my attention most is the stories of Martin Luther King, the civil rights leader in the 1960’s. From her beginning, America has gone through many different challenging crises. Today, it seems that many see America in her biggest crisis. The answer to some is just run and hide and everything will be okay. I wonder if Mr. King would offer us that kind of advice. From what I have seen of his life he did not run and hide. In addition, he k...

This cannot be politics as usual in America. Politics as usual got the democrats elected by being anti-war and lying to the American people about the importance of the battle in Iraq. In reality, it does not matter. When the republicans where in the majority, before their defeat in Nov 2007, they were worst obstructionist to President Bush’s’ policies then the democrats. Therefore, having republicans in office does not mean that the war on terror will be taken seriously and given the ...

Some of the issues that come from military conflict are life, death, and our relationship to God. People who have repented of their sin and have Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior know that no matter what they confront, if they should leave this world they will be welcomed in heaven. One of the reasons I do not write on a regular basis is that some times I do not have anything to write. Lately, I also have realized that if I talk about anything else but Jesus Christ and salvatio...

I cannot be about hate. I know many of us on the conservative side may like the sport of hating little Miss Hillary dickory crock. She has lied and we know it. Even worse, she acts as if we are all living in cave and have no clue what kind of a person she is. Now, the news media likes to think they can pick and promote a presidential candidate as if they were running a beauty pageant. Of course, they could not get their candidate in on 2000 and 2004. In addition, they started out ...

When I decided I was not going to pursue the career I studied for or a masters in professional counseling I asked myself what I was going to do so I would not die just as a miserable old cab driver? The answer I came up with was writing. I have written one romance novel that surprises no one more than me. I am not a natural writer. In fact, I had to work at writing just to barely make the grade for a bachelor of science. If it wasn’t for windows word1 I would not even be able to prod...

In the 1990’2, mental health professionals were commenting that the fastest growing disease was depression. This increase was bigger than diabetes and heart disease. Furthermore, in a report I had to write to get credit for a college course the research mentioned that recently all mental health categories had increases in the people suffering from those illnesses. Now how can people of an affluent society be having so much trouble with their mental health? Moreover, what is the rela...

Today, I will write a short comment on Kerry’s comment on how only the President and his staff think the “surge” can work. Kerry was quoted as saying, "The only people who believe there is a workable military solution for the conflict in Iraq is the Bush administration," …. This quote was taken from the article House schedules vote on Iraq resolution written by DAVID ESPO and appeared on the yahoo news web site. I could not disagree with Mr. Kerry more. I believe that the surge ca...

What would you do if you knew of a group of people who only spend their time making promises and nothing following through on their promises? Better yet, what would you do if you knew that these promise breakers actually threaten your security by thei r inaction and obsession on their own well-being? Well that is what you have had in America for a very long time. It is my assessment that terrorism is what it is today because all the politicians who have been to involved in their own pi...

My comments for today do not requirre much thought or writing. The democrats said they were going to be different then the republicans yet they are going to waste three days on debating a non-binding resolution instead of dealing with some real issues. I think people in American get that the democrats are against victory in Iraq.

The so called republicans who sided with the democrats in the senate stupid non-binding resolution on Saturday February 17, 2007. In the Senate, the seven Republicans who voted to advance the measure were: Norm Coleman of Minnesota, Susan Collins of Maine, Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, Gordon Smith of Oregon, Olympia Snowe of Maine, Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania and John Warner of Virginia.
