Yes there are people wearing the uniforms. However, they do what they want.

In Mexico, you have to fear the police and military more than the every day street criminal.

In my opinion this is due to the fact that money runs the country. The elected officials are concerned about how they can fatten their bank accounts. They usual steal from the people or take bribes.

Oversight and proper administration of their duties is not in the game plan.

Therefore soldiers and police officers do not have to fear getting caught if they get paid for helping drug dealers.

When I look at the reports of Mexican soldiers or Mexican police helping drug dealers on the border several thoughts come to mind.

One, official Mexican soldiers and police officers do assist drug dealers as long as they get paid.

Ex-employees of the Mexican army and law enforcement departments assist drug dealers, again for the right price.

Three, it is easy to buy official uniforms of Mexican army and Mexican law enforcement. Drug dealers pay people to appear to be Mexican military soldiers and Mexican police.

Mexico has become a country where no one is minding the store and every one is looking for a way to make money regardless of whether it is immoral, illegal, or unethical.
