I wonder when we became such a divided and confused nation. The way I see it the issues we are facing are not that complicated.
When tyrants misbehave and all you do is write resolutions you are no willing to back up with force, tyrants get confident that they can do what want.
By the actions we see in the news of “Islamics” it is very obvious that many muslins practice hate and violence. To me this is not new. I have seen over 27 years of vicious and savage acts committed by people that call themselves Islamic.
Oh and I feel compelled to make this correction. Since the Pope got himself in so much trouble with the muslins people have been saying this a religious war between Christians and Muslins.
I for one put Catholicism and Islam in the same boat. To me they are both false religions that have nothing to do with true service to Jesus Christ.
The Vatican does not believe the rapture is Biblical, they encourage vain and repetitious prayer which Christ admonished us not to do, many Catholics violate a commandment by offering prayer to saints and the mother of Christ, the Bible does not talk about purgatory, and some others I can not think of right now.
The Islamic religions holds that God sent Muhammad to make prophecy because people had left the way of Jesus Christ.
If any god told you something on Monday and then told you something totally different on Tuesday would you believe him?
I would not. Therefore, because Christ specifically said “..I am the way and the light…No one comes to the Father except through me, Islam cannot be a religion ordained by the one true God.
Then, what is the actual problem? I say the problem is that there are real enemies of free people and they want to instill their closed minded law on every one.
Now some may say that is what all religions do. I would disagree. There have been horror stories in history perpetrated by religious people.
However, we are supposed to be the benefactors of all the accumulated knowledge. Have we honestly learned nothing? Is there anything at all we could do to ferment world peace?
I have gotten to the point where I do not want to hear anyone say anything about world conflicts.
In fact, lately I think all of us, me included, have become nothing but empty talking heads.
I have asked myself if anything I say or write will contribute to positive action. From all the passionate articles in mainstream media and net media (i.e. BLOGS), 90% of Americans had better vote on November 7, 2006.
Otherwise, we are all wasting our time.
Moreover, I think that is the problem. We write but do we make an impact that motivates people to get involved?
I have been listening to Laura Ingram and Rush Limbaugh on fox radio. In my opinion, these two yahoos are a waste of time.
It is because of listening to their asinine and childish critics that I realized I sound just like them; all talk but no real positive contribution.
It is sad to think while we spout of out rhetoric and hyperbole people are dying.
The sadder part is that there is no way to get the other side to understand how serious we consider the extremist threat to be.
Therefore, what do we have; a bunch of people that will only talk cause they like the sound of their own voices and don’t want to listen to any one?
I do not believe we will accomplish much that way. Furthermore, I know the issues we face today are serious issues that need to be dealt with some time soon, before the next generation is shackled to worst problems.
