What are you willing to die for?
Published on February 4, 2007 By jesseledesma In Politics
When I decided I was not going to pursue the career I studied for or a masters in professional counseling I asked myself what I was going to do so I would not die just as a miserable old cab driver?

The answer I came up with was writing. I have written one romance novel that surprises no one more than me.

I am not a natural writer. In fact, I had to work at writing just to barely make the grade for a bachelor of science. If it wasn’t for windows word1 I would not even be able to produce the not so acceptable articles I post here.

However, I have known for a long time that there are people who need dire help. In addition, I know that all of people’s problems are environmental.

Though, it may not look like it I am a Christian and my relationship between God and I is very important to me. I know what is to sit alone consumed by depression. Everything I write here in this BLOG is my way of sharing helpful hints to people.

I just cannot see how you can plan to keep what you do not protect.

In addition, I do find it strange that before I became a Christian I was a pacifist beyond reproach. Back them to me there was never a need for violence no matter how violence is justified.

Today, I recognized that everything I have I got from God and I am obligated to protect it. The difference is that when I was non-believer I took everything for granted.

It may not be what I wanted but it is what God has provided and who knows more than God about what I need.

In addition, there are two what I call moral imperatives I like to ask people opposed to violence. One is imagine you are in your home and the two year old from next door comes over and knocks on your door. When you open the door you see his tear stained face and you hear him say, “My daddy is trying to hurt me”.

What would you do? I know I live in a world were everyday people who are to caught up on their own importance are turning their backs on this two year old.

The second imperative is imagine you and your wife are home, in the living room, watching TV and then three ugly toothless thugs come in your home with their weapons drawn to rape your wife. However, before they get started one of them makes a mistake and leaves his fully loaded 357 magnum on the coffee table in front of you. What would you do?

Me, I would pick it up, pull the hammer back, and squeeze the trigger. At the end there would three dead rapists and one safe and sound wife. Well how safe and sound can any woman married to me be?

However, the point I am trying to make is if there is anything in the average Americans life that would lead them to sacrifice their lives or take a life to protect it.

Neither president Bush nor myself made up these terrorists. In addition, I don’t need the liberal news media to tell me who muslins are; whether violent or not.

Moreover, to date I have not seen one grateful Iraqi or Afghan for the sacrifices Americans have made on their behalf. This concerns me greatly.

Self-diluted wannabe-complicated philosophers wanting to inflict their stink on the world even concern me more.

It took me a while to mature. When I did finally get to adulthood, I realized quickly who and what I was willing to die for.

There was this cute, decent, kind, and beautiful girl I met that no matter how bad I felt she always put joy in my heart. She didn’t even have to say a word as long as I could see her smile I knew I would be okay.

The strange thing is that one day God and I were going at it. He was tired of my bad attitude and I had had it with all the abuse from the world. However, on this day God asked me, “okay if you turn your back on this world what happens to your best friend?”

I thought God was threatening my best friends life. Interesting how we convince our selves of such foolishness. However, I responded to God “not a drop of rain falls on my friends head without my permission”.

I love her so much that I would even take on God to protect her. Well a few months in to my Christianity God reminded me of my foolish reproach. God also showed me He understood how much I love her and He also showed me how much He loves her.

The last impression God left me with was “now I wouldn’t hurt because you love her but I would not hurt her because I love her”. Trust me God’s love for my dear friend is way better than my love for her.

The point I am trying to make is that even though we want to be simple little people who enjoy their homes and pray for our neighbors there are many ugly people that have other plans.

You think I hate muslins you are wrong. I am nobody for God to have invited me to his home. If I take on a holier than though attitude how came I give good service to God.

Today, I was thinking how great God is that He takes on our fights and has victory. In addition, I honor God for His creation life.

God is everything that is good and just in the world. Anyone trying to destroy the goodness that God has created is an enemy of God and anyone against God is against me.

What a great world if every one could accomplish their dreams and not encounter tragedy.

Humans don’t have this capacity. They wont force politicians to stop politicizing bad human decisions in order that people might take personal responsibility for their lives instead of attacking people for what went wrong.

Every serial killer had an emotionally distant parent that made the child close of emotionally. Eventually being absent from love the child starts to perform like a machine and reproduce behaviors they observe.

Because, government and social engineers try to blame the obstacles verses the unfitness of the person many are lost with out a clue on how to accomplish a standard generic life.

In the wake are pregnant teens hooked on drugs and with a whole lot of rage and many more troubled people. The rest of us have to pay for it. Are these people beyond reproach? No. God loves them and God would like every one to see them selves how He sees us.

He made us with potential and honest, sincere, and valuable dreams. To God there is no difference between Christian and Muslin.

Every person was made to do good and those that prefer bad will answer to him.

Lying politicians putting the security of the people they represent at risk because they care more about their own political ambitions have a lot to atone for.

In addition, any one not protecting what God has given him or her is at greater risk of God’s wrath.
