Demos keep trying to kill Bush
Published on July 26, 2007 By jesseledesma In Politics
Today I will write on an article tilted FBI director contradicts Gonzales’ testimony and subtitled “Mueller's statement is the latest blow to embattled attorney general, Bush” that appeared on a MSNBC web site (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19975387/) and only has the Associated Press as a author, not the name of any one specific.

Now I have said that there are people in the liberal news media that have an agenda and report their news stories trying to promote this agenda. The title FBI contradicts is actually a lie as you can read in the quotes below that I took directly from the article. the FBI director was not present at the time of the alleged crime and the FBI director never says anything that directly questions Mr. Alberto Gonzalez’s testimony.
At issue are accusations by the democratic congress that Mr. Gonzalez and other justice officials made a visit to Mr. Ashcroft, who was the Attorney general at that time. The allegation is that Mr. Gonzalez discussed the “the terrorist surveillance program with Mr. Ashcroft, which Mr. Gonzalez denies.

In the quotes below, you can see the discrepancies between the claims in the title of the article and the text of the article. FBI director said he was not in the Ashcroft’s hospital room at the time of the alleged conversation. When answering the questions of the democrats in congress the FBI director never mentions the terrorist surveillance program by name and just says that after he spoke with Ashcroft he gathered the impression that Mr. Gonzalez and Ashcroft had talked about a NSA program.

Now you do not get to be FBI director by being indirect. Why say I learned that they talked about an NSA program. If the FBI director really wanted to say Gonzalez and Ashcroft talked the terrorist surveillance program that is what he should of said. Otherwise, his statement lead a person like me wondering well which one of the many NSA programs is the FBI director talking about.
In addition, to beat a very dead horse over the mouth, the president at any time can wake up and say, “I think today I will fire all federal prosecutors”. It is in the Power of the President.

Therefore, democrats in congress trying to continue to persecute Bush and his aids with stuff that has no meaning again shows them for the vindictive elected officials wasting the citizen’s time.

QUOTES TAKEN DIRECTLY FROM THE ARTILCE MENTIONED ABOVE.
Mueller was not in the hospital room at the time of the dramatic March 10, 2004, confrontation between Ashcroft and presidential advisers Andy Card and Gonzales, who was then serving as White House counsel.

Mueller told the House Judiciary Committee he arrived shortly after they left, and then spoke with the ailing Ashcroft.

“Did you have an understanding that the conversation was on TSP?” asked Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas in a round of questioning that may have sounded to listeners like bureaucratic alphabet soup.

“I had an understanding the discussion was on a NSA program, yes,” Mueller answered.

Jackson sought to clarify: “We use ‘TSP,’ we use ‘warrantless wiretapping,’ so would I be comfortable in saying that those were the items that were part of the discussion?”

“The discussion was on a national NSA program that has been much discussed, yes,” Mueller responded.
