Bush 23% approval vs Democrats 3%

The following are my thoughts on some news and rumors I have over heard the week of August 1.

I have already stated in a previous article that the House of Representatives approved a very big healthcare bill in this week. Mr. Bush promises to veto it, which he may already have done.

In addition, I heard during the week on a poll on the war in Iraq which states the congress has a 3% approval rating on their handling on the war. I think it has more to do with broken promises to their base then anything else.

The democrats promised people if they voted for them, they would pull the troops out of Iraq. The democrats did battle with Bush over funding for the war in the early summer and Bush witch slapped does democrats and those Republicans In Name Only (RINOS) around all over congress.

I guess Bush has more support then the democrats are willing to admit. Now, the democrats know if they are to have a chance in 2008, they have to not upset the people who support the War on Terrorism but are disappointed in RINOS. Their base however is fuming, which to me explains their 3% rating.

Bush’s rating in this poll is 25%. This means Americans approve of him 22 times more then democrats.

Other contradictions of congress were their approval of the spy program they so greatly criticized Bush for through out this difficult time. Democrats and RINOS alike said Bush was violating the individual privacy rights of the citizen with their surveillance of international calls to Americans. However, today-Sunday fifth of August 2007-it was reported that congress approved to expand the program.

Now they have the majority in House and Senate. If Bush was wrong in this policy, why not remove it. After all, they have the power to do it.

Furthermore, I ran in to an interesting quote. This quote comes from a conference between Liberal bloggers and Ms Clinton, Edwards, and Borak. The quote is “ The candidates all vowed to end the Iraq war, expand healthcare, and raise taxes on the wealthy….”

This quote appeared in a story in the El Paso Sunday Times. It’s title is Liberal bloggers boo Clinton on Contributions and was written by Steven Thomma from the McClathcy News Service.

Well, my problems with it are various. First, we need to win in Iraq in order to support all the sincere and honest Iraqis who yearn for freedom and self-rule and to kill terrorist. The only good terrorist is a dead terrorist. Second, why should I be paying for anyone else’s healthcare? I say everyone works and pays for their own health insurance. Third, who in America wants to work hard to succeed knowing that congress is going to come by, stick a big needle in their financial arm, and bleed them to death? Hey, democrats why not try rewarding those who are actually working and making a positive contribution to society, instead of dragging us all down with the dregs of humanity.

I do not take drugs. I do not impregnate teens nor have pregnant teens. I deplore drug use. I am not a criminal. Though I have mental illness, I take care of it myself. No one has to tell me what it is to work and manage a life with medical hardship. Every day I feel completely exhausted and nauseas. However, I go out and earn a living.

Therefore, how are you going to convince me that I should work this hard so some lazy, unfit person, who cannot manage his or her money, can have a better life then me?

I'm amazed you had room enough to include most of the better contradictions.  There are just so many, listing them all would take thousands of pages
