He has served us well.

Sometimes you have to look inside yourself and try to find something human.

The president of the U.S. has served this country well. The economy is growing and very healthy. Education is being held to some important standards. Schools may not be able to meet the requirements of No Child Left Behind, but that is not a presidential failure.

After September 11, 2001 the President understood the challenge and sacrificed his own personal reputation to deal with this challenge. Today, the Taliban does not control Afganistan and provide Al Qaeda with safe haven to operate and kill at will.

In addition, even though the democrats have been nothing but obstacles and friends to Americas' enemies the war in Iraq is turning around for the better.

Before the last congretional elections I wrote about Iraq needing to stand on their own two feet. I also wrote that Iraqis won't start taking care of themselves until America stop holding them up.

Patreus' report to congress showed me that Iraqi regular citizens and secuirty forces are standing up and meeting the security challenges in thier country.

However, be fore warned, humans by nature rather be petty, negatively critical, and spiteful. I do not know why when faced with real and serious challenges most people would rather crticize and get in the way.

Through out the war in Iraq many Americans have preferred to speak with voices of sick, demented, and obstructionist individuals.

I am glad Bush is rational enough to know what is up and what has to be done. Not even the vendictive democratic attack machine ( the American Liberal News Media) was strong enough to unseat Bush.

Many of us are disgusted with the democrats attempts to kill the messenger in order to discredit Bush. Since the war started it has been nothing but one unsubstantiated criticism after another.

No sooner had the turn coat republicans and democrats authorized the President with power to wage war on Iraq that they started criticising.

We had heard of individual soldiers acting brutal. The news media actually tried to imply that it was official Bush policy to mistreat Prisoners of War.

Then it was alll the yelling about survalliance on international communications. Some liberal rag disclosed a program that tracked the terrorist money.

Al Qaeda must be happy to have so many democrats and liberal news reporters working for them.

My final analysis is that all the voters who are good people with better values but do not vote help in making all this madness. The 2006 elections were close.

However, the results allowed the democrats to be more obstructionist to Americas' victory. If Mr. Bush will not do it I will claim victory for him. Good job Mr. President and thank you very much.

Your conviction and clear thinking serves as an example to all of us. I wish more good people would get involved so this country would not be such a mess.

There are things in life that are not a question mark. Life is not a question mark. In addition, we are all requirred to protect it at all cost.

Militant muslins desire to kill all of life. Under no cirtunstances should we allow them to succeed. The president was right that a person who had already proved himself to be irrational and disrespectful of other people was a danger to America.

Sadam Huessien seazed power by force. With this force he subjugated the people of Iraq to torture and murder. He them declared war on his neighbor Iran and used chemical weapons banned by the international community.

After that fiasco he invades a peaceful nation, Kuwait. He is pushed backed and sanctioned and spends 12 years thumbing his nose at the UN.

Not to mention many times behind a podiun in Iraq he calls for Jihad for America.

Now he is in hell wishing he had been a better person.

Six years later the people of Iraq have their destiny in their hands.

If they allow their country to become a cestpool of corruption and violence them they will be like all the uninterested Americans who are allowing the USA to become a country that kills unborn babies and rewards slothfulness.

I believe in human goodness and hope this quality inspires people to vote and protect what belongs to them, America.

The inferior officer, the most clueless of Clueless of Clueless Old Liberals would beg to differ with the statements above.  Somewhere in there you absolutely must be lieing and/or spinning on behalf of the President because what you have written just cannot be true as that troll has stated so many times and oh so clearly in the past (and in his latest fetid pile some would call an article).

In addition, even though the democrats have been nothing but obstacles and friends to Americas' enemies the war in Iraq is turning around for the better.

Obstacles?!!?  How dare you point out this fact that escapes a majority of the country, or at least seems to escape the majority of liberal minded lemmings that are buying the crap the so-called main stream media is feeding them?!?

Patreus' report to congress showed me that Iraqi regular citizens and secuirty forces are standing up and meeting the security challenges in thier country.

You actually got that from the Petraeus' report?  You must be a Bush apologist!

I would go on pointing out the fallacies of your statements, but, but.... but....   I can't, because what you've written is true -- if you aren't a fine example of inferior intellect that hides behind denigrated military titles that were so long ago disrepected that no one in their right mind should ever bother to even use the title when addressing the in-DUH-vidual.

Seriously, you've summed up a lot of things in your article, and I wish more people would take such a honest and thoughtful approach to where we stand now.  Even better, how about considering where we could be standing at this point if a different person were in the job.

As you've said, the President has done the best he can given the circumstances he found himself and this country in.  Events occured that were the result of many years of previous events and policies.  In many cases the events occured because of incompetence in government that goes back to the Carter administration, and certainly ran back through the Clinton administration (and yes, some events can be traced back to occurences in the Bush 41 and Reagan administrations too).

If you aren't in the business of trolling, you probably can acknowledge what has been written in the article above.  If you are in that trolling busiess, then I ask again to get your butt back under your bridge and stay there.

Very well written and you are right!

What gets me is, the Democrats seem more willing to accept the latest Bin Laden video than Gen. Patreaus's Report.

That tells us all we need to know.

Really? You have to look inside yourself to know you're human? Someone should take those knives away from you and give you a mirror.

Today, the Taliban does not control Afganistan and provide Al Qaeda with safe haven to operate and kill at will.

Except, of course, in those areas the Taliban continues to control, and those areas where dwindling support from the west has meant they can no longer be held. With most countries looking to reduce their military support for the war on terror it's only a matter of time before Afghanistan is returned to the Taliban. It'll be a good thing for the war on drugs, but not the war on terror.

However, be fore warned, humans by nature rather be petty, negatively critical, and spiteful. I do not know why when faced with real and serious challenges most people would rather crticize and get in the way.

Because we're interesting? Only boring people do what they're told.

Militant muslins desire to kill all of life.

You and your anti-natural fibre agenda? Where will it end? Will you not be happy unless we can only wear synthetics?

I believe in human goodness and hope this quality inspires people to vote and protect what belongs to them, America.

You're contradicting yourself here, as previously you said that people "rather be petty, negatively critical, and spiteful."

Which one is it? Are people fundamentally good, or are they fundamentally petty, critical and spiteful?

i agree and can't add anymore

Unsurprising.

If you aren't in the business of trolling, you probably can acknowledge what has been written in the article above. If you are in that trolling busiess, then I ask again to get your butt back under your bridge and stay there.

I acknowledge it. Some of it is undoubtedly believed to be true, but that doesn't make it so. Still, this troll supports your right to avoid looking beyond the press release. God knows I rarely do.

Very well written and you are right!

Really? Well written? This is a steaming turd of badly spelled prose written by someone whose connection with reality borders on infinitesimal. It's just a string of assertions which are easy to say and difficult to support or contend with (motherhood statements really). I can't say I expect more from you Ted, but one day I hope you get past your urge to support anything and anyone which or who shares your beliefs.

Never thought I'd be quoting you as the voice of reason here, cacto! This is only "well written" for a child in grades one through five, and definitely not worthy of an endorsement from anyone with credibility.

I have determined at this point that if I ever find myself stranded in El Paso without a ride, I'll walk. I'm seriously worried about the fumes leeching into the taxis there!
