I still champion life

There comes a time when you wonder if people get it. In reality, most people are not smart enough to get it. I once heard a liberal argue that the average American was not smart enough to understand the evolutionist argument. This was during the time of the evolutionist vs. intelligent design debate.

I thought it was interesting that a liberal would go so far as to call her supporters stupid. In fact, when you write an article like the one I am going to write you have to be very careful not offend many people.

I used to think people with college degrees were better. I have no founded out that some of the people lacking wisdom are people with college degrees.

In reality, we all walk around thinking we know everything and do not need to listen to anyone. I am not kidding when I say I have seen democratic government programs ruin complete communities.

El Paso, Texas, which I call stink water, Texas is way behind the economic curb. If Mexico is America's number one trading partner, then border cities should be the richest cities in America. However, for decades the "politics of poverty" have been preached in this city by almost everyone.

When you talk to people here is like listening to a democratic speaker at a fund raiser. The government should do this. The government should do that.

Hey, how about doing for you. I think this miserable city is the only one in the nation were the minimum wage is the federal minimum wage.

Moreover, why is stink water, Texas so poor? In my opinion it because they are poor in ideas. However, in retrospect this is not true. I have seen many people getting out and working. Yet, there is this small group of people that will not work for themselves.

During president, Carter's term-which some call the worst president- there was nothing but promises of one government program after another. In stink water, Texas that resulted in many people relying on the government dime. It was not until the last three years that I have seen people out working and providing for themselves.

An interesting fact if the Free-your-Willie Clinton was the first conservative democrat elected to big office. The 1990's were all about welfare reform and personal accountability.

Again, I say America has a great economy. There is 95% employment. Individual salaries and wealth are up. A hundred thousand new jobs are added to the economy every month.

Now, however, aspiring presidential candidates want to convince you that the country is in economic upheaval. What we are borrowing to pay for the war in Iraq will have to be paid back. People who bought what they cannot afford have learned a big lesson. Everyone who has dropped out school, never gotten a job, resorted to drug and alcohol abuse, and is having one baby after another they cannot afford is also on the road to a rude awakening.

The rest of have to ask us are we smarter then liberals in the news and/or in politics. We should also ask if we value what we have earned. Another good question is are we willing to let all the good work in building up the human spirit go to waste.

Ronald Reagan awoke people's sense of their own potential. In his own way, George W. Bush has kept that fire burning. You are right to desire a life pleasing to you.

Government in no way, shape, or form should interfere in your potential. What is that Seal lyric? "If you can see it then you can reach it” I believe I can fly. I believe I can fly.

Do you want a government staying of your runway or more debris of dysfunctional and unsuccessful government programs littering it?

Life belongs to those willing to live it. Those sitting in shadows wondering if that person likes them and never asking are fools. Ask and you will get an answer. Even if it is no, at least now you have information you can work with and move on.

In addition, I have concluded that I will die and probably see America get worse not better. However, I plan to write away praising what is good in life and that which inspires people to create until I have breathed my last breathe.

Even though I am very disappointed with God, I still champion life. The road to Armageddon goes through hills and valleys of the worst in humanity.

Those aware of the terrain will be better equipped to handle the journey. I hope that you love life as much as I do. Once in an episode of Mad About You Paul's father said "When I die it really is going to piss me off".

I know exactly what he means. I also know why a man who saw several people floating in the cold seas swam over and got each one in the coast guard basket, only to become overcome by the cold water and loose his own life.

When I heard that story I wondered why would a person dry and safe on a perfectly good boat jump in and sacrifice his life so others may live. Life! That is why.

"No greater love has a man that he would give his life for a friend" Many before us fought and sacrificed for a great America.

She needs every one of us now. There is just no way having the seen the tragedy of government dependency in history can we allow America to turn around and revisit those rough waters.

Believe that you can fly, love America, and defend her with you vote.
