Security, Prosperity, and Unity.

I know the American liberal news media is not going to play fair and keep people informed on conservative candidates. Therefore, I guess I will have to do double dutty and try to bring as much information to the public on my blog.

I did a simple search for Fred Thompson on his web site and I found this quote on the home page.

"We are steeped in the tradition of honor and sacrifice for the greater good. We are proud of this heritage. I believe that Americans are once again ready to achieve this greater good: which is nothing less than security, prosperity, and unity of our country."

In my opinion, security comes from government taking its responsibilities serious and fulfilling this responsibilities.

Prosperity comes about from individuals working hard to accomplish their dreams.

Unity is a result of mutual respect, tolerance, and cooperation.

I haven't really bothered to research Thompson all that much. I do know a little about him, such as he wasn't born rich and that he has a CDL and has worked as a truck driver. He is also the only candidate that I am aware of who has a website devoted specifically to truckers. That alone makes him worthy of further investigation on my part, which I will do when I am next at home for a few days.

OK, just a couple of thoughts:

It's respectable that you're covering candidates, but it would be nice if you could be more thorough in your coverage.

Also a title that lets folks know you're covering them might bring more readers than a title that is just the candidate's name.

Just a couple thoughts. Do with them what you will.

I'm with Mason on this one. I haven't done much either to research Thompson. I'm pretty sold on Huckabee myself. I like the sound of President Huckabee . I like that he's credible, likeable and respectable.

I usually don't get too into the Presidential Race much until it gets a bit closer. A lot of the goings on now just seem ridiculous to me. Most of these front runners I suspect will wear themselves out with the voters by the time the election rolls around. So maybe Huckabee (or Thompson) will be a breath of fresh air after Romney, Guilani and McCain bore us all to death. Time will tell.

Overall I like Thompson, but I'm really waiting to see him in the next debate to form a better opinion.

Don't worry there is time. In addition, when I say I will do something I do it. Therefore, between now and election day I will be looking for stuff on the conservative candidates. along with my daily thoughts and opinions.
