Plus God's justice and parental ranting and raving.
POLITICS
I think the most important person in these next elections will be the voter. The fact that less than 40 percent of eligible American voters actually vote is very discouraging. An even more discouraging thought is that many Americans need the news to tell them what to feel and think.
RELIGION
You do not have to believe in God to be subject to His judgment and justice.
MENTAL HEALTH
I have had parenting on the brain. My concern is all the parents that believe that ranting and raving is good parenting. Today, I had a conversation with a person who got on her kids bus and yelled at her kids to apologize to the driver and some kid.
My point her is that she embarrassed her kids in front of their peer group. She did not explain in a calm manner why what they did was wrong. In addition, she did not choose a more productive punishment, such as taking away privileges.
It is no surprise to me that these kids are misbehaving. The parent is obviously teaching that the way to interact with people in society is ranting and raving.
I am a person from the psychological parenting theory that you start from the beginning with smiles, pleasant voice tones, and activity in building a quality parent child relationship.
I have said before that parenting at a distance is unproductive. However, many parents put a lot emotional and physical distance between them selves and their children. Then they are surprised when the child begins to misbehave.
