Thinking of our brothers and siters in the military.

The year of 2007 started with fear of what the newly democratic controlled congress was going to do to the USA. Right out of the box they tried to impeach the president and take the troops out of Iraq with sinister ploys of defunding the war.

The new congress came to learn that Americans are not defeatist. Even though there was ranker from liberals many more were in favor of letting the military fight the war in Iraq.

Yesterday I read in the local newspaper that there has been dramatic decrease in Iraqi civilian death and American military personnel deaths. The time noted was December of 2006 to December of 2007.

The lies however continue. On an MSN web site I read a title of a story that stated that 2007 was the deadliest year for US in Iraq. Now how can there be two such conflicting stories.

Furthermore, on MSN I read a title of a story that states Romney claims Bush mismanaged the war in Iraq. Since when has listening to foreign intelligence and acting on it considered mismanagement.

I think Mr. Bush has done an excellent job while in office. America is experiencing great economic growth. Her enemies now fear her. In addition, other nations have realized that America does not walk to the beat of liberal lies.

Furthermore, I contend that if the international community had shown unity with the US, Sadam would of chosen different actions to prevent war.

However, we are in distinct moral times were money is more important then principles.

I however, think it is important to stand up for what is good in life. This New Year I have the American personnel who are fighting for our freedom and those who have lost their lives fighting on my mind.

Since the conflict in Iraq began I have given it a lot of thought. It has made reconsider what is valuable to me and redefine life. I live in a world of people with no beliefs who find it easy to trash and criticize everything, yet I keep my eye on what matters.

Life still matters. I hold a great sense of responsibility for every military person in harms way. Iraq was a quandary at the beginning. Everyone thought they knew what was going to happen.

I supported the president then. I still support him.

The hope was for the best. However, interlopers started interfering with progress from the beginning. At a time it look liked the collective American conscious would loose its resolve. However, today America is triumphant and close to victory.

I think the next steps in Iraq can lead to conditions that can facilitate a good working relationship between the people of Iraq and the people of the United Stated of America.

The end of American military operations in Iraq will not make terrorist go away. I say that for the rest of human history this menace will remain.

Therefore, though I mourn every military person who has lost his or her life, I know we will be calling on him or her again to pursue extremist.

In the beginning we did not know if we could survive burying our brothers and sisters. I have not lost anyone due to 9/11 or military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. However, I know all people to be valuable. Because of this belief, I want everyone to be safe and sound and my heart has grown heavy with every loss.

However, some one needs to fight the enemy. Good cannot let bad win. It is our responsibility to stand up for life, regardless of the price.

and bush did mismanage the war. what we did this year we should have done in 2003.

but we were afraid of making the iraqies mad at us if we went into an area and kept the bad guys out afterwords. so we went in and removed the bad guy and then we left and the bad guy came back in.

this year we haven't let the bad guy come back in.
