If I was going to help the poor?
It would be with an attitude adjuistment.

I am surpised how much is made of the Americran economy after the Christmas shopping season. Everyone knows that after Christmas people leave the part-time jobs they took to save and buy gifts.
In addition, during Christmas companies are out to lunch. Many people who do hiring slack of during Christmas and wait till after Christmas to fill vacant positions.
Business people know that the first three months of the year everyone stops shopping because they over spent during Christmas.
I heard Steve Jobs of Apple computers in an interview say that they have taken over 20 percent of the cell phone business in America with their I-phone.
To me this is a high price item. It appears that in what people are calling a slow economy ready for recession people are buying $600 cell phones.
One last note, I checked the Careerbuilder web site in I found the following job information in the area I live in; stupid El Paso, Texas.
Careerbuilder:
Sales (387)
Other (282)
Customer Service (241)
General Business (214)
Business Development (208).
Again I ask were is this slow economy? Well it is in the minds of liberal news people who want to help a democrat get elected to the presidency and unscrupulous business people who want to write of business losses in order to avoid paying taxes.
I am surprised at the news medias actions. They did the same thing during the first Bush's relection campaing. I was wondering why the news media was making a lot of 6 percent unemployment and slow gains in the "gross national product" while the first Bush ran for a second term.
Every night you would hear on all news stations Clinton's mantra "Its the economy, stupid". However, the economy was fine.
Now politicians think that speaking to people who cannot manage their money and making them promises is the way to get elected.
Who knows? It may be. All I know is I have heard this melody of "cry for me Argentina cause I don't know how to manage my own life" and I don't like it.
When will the successful people in this country stand up and stop politicians who pander to "politics of poverty" for votes from dragging America in to the gutter.
I am tired of paying for the children of other people. I am tired of paying for drug rehabilitaiton. I am tired of paying for disrespectful government employees like mail carriers and police officers.
America does not work because the poor do not want to let America achieve her potential. They are weak and unfit to meet the challenges of life.
Is that my fault? I do not think so. I keep saying they are poor not in the wallet but poor in ideas. God has given every person the ability to asses their environment and figure out what they need to sustain life.
Cell phones, internet, sport cars, and other material stuff are luxuries. You only deserve them, if you can afford them.
Today, I took a customer to a very poor area in Mexico. The only reason the buildigs in that area were falling apart is because of people's "poverty of the mind". Generation after generation has fallen to the bad attitude of "goverment should help us". No you need to get to school or a job.
Several days ago I took a customer to the food stamp office. He told me he is living in Mexico and neede an application for assistance. I wonder what kind of fraud he is trying to commit.
However, what got my attention was the number of nice cars and SUVs in the parking lot. Should you be driving a brand new SUV if you are on government assitance. I also counted the people who were leaving and entering that office and were talking on a cell phone. Almost every person there had a cell phone.
Now they all could not of being employees. How many people work for a food stamps office and what are they doing sitting in the lobby talking on their cell phone?
My point is that their is a perversed philosophy that moves politicians to make promises to the so-called poor in order to win elections.
I get out an invest 12 hours a day 365 days of the year to get mine. It may have taken me a while, but I am very perosnally responsible for my needs.
How can anybody come to me and tell me I have to pay the way of people who don't get out and hustle like I do?
All this talk about economic instability is a lie. It is not the economy stupid. It is a need for personal discipline and an attitude condusive to success.
In addition, I say all the presidential contenders who are promising "ecomonic stimulus policies" are pandering to the
olitics of poverty" and are part of the problem.
There is no need for more people who are made weak by being conditioned to "governmental dependency".
Yes people are suffering. However, if I was going to offer them assistance it would be an attitude adjustment."

As the prophet of the Lord said,
"And also, ye yourselves will succor those that stand in need of your succor; ye will administer of your substance unto him that standeth in need; and ye will not suffer that the beggar putteth up his petition to you in vain, and turn him out to perish.
Perhaps thou shalt say: The man has brought upon himself his misery; therefore I will stay my hand, and will not give unto him of my food, nor impart unto him of my substance that he may not suffer, for his punishments are just—
But I say unto you, O man, whosoever doeth this the same hath great cause to repent; and except he repenteth of that which he hath done he perisheth forever, and hath no interest in the kingdom of God.
For behold, are we not all beggars? Do we not all depend upon the same Being, even God, for all the substance which we have, for both food and raiment, and for gold, and for silver, and for all the riches which we have of every kind?
And behold, even at this time, ye have been calling on his name, and begging for a remission of your sins. And has he suffered that ye have begged in vain? Nay; he has poured out his Spirit upon you, and has caused that your hearts should be filled with joy, and has caused that your mouths should be stopped that ye could not find utterance, so exceedingly great was your joy.
And now, if God, who has created you, on whom you are dependent for your lives and for all that ye have and are, doth grant unto you whatsoever ye ask that is right, in faith, believing that ye shall receive, O then, how ye ought to impart of the substance that ye have one to another.
And if ye judge the man who putteth up his petition to you for your substance that he perish not, and condemn him, how much more just will be your condemnation for withholding your substance, which doth not belong to you but to God, to whom also your life belongeth; and yet ye put up no petition, nor repent of the thing which thou hast done.
"
Pay special attention to that bold part, Jesus. Everything you have isn't yours - it's Gods. So don't be a jerk about it. If someone asks you for help, you should help them. Period.

He has a Master's Degree and six year's worth of postgraduate study, multiple certifications in computer aided drafting and GIS (global information systems) and impeccable references. He's willing to work for HALF of what He's worth, and in fact His last job only paid $18 per hour.
LW,
My cousin has a 'mapping' business that might be interested in EOIC. If you are interested I would be happy to pass along his resume to him. I make no guarantees but you never know.
Thanks,
UGH my reply is giving Jesus points
Or should I apologize that the US didn't welcome him with red carpet and bow down to his illegal wanderings across our sovereign border?
Any who my offer still stands.
