HUNGER PAINS AS MOTIVATORS
Published on March 24, 2008 By jesseledesma In Life

For the most part I believe we have entered a time in the human experience were we all think that there are no people of integrity.  I,myself, can testify that I have very little confidence in people no matter were they are earning their keep.

In El Paso, Texas I have seen enough of the behavior of municipal police officers to not have any more respect for them.  Here, the local cops like to stop people for no reason other then they look suspicious.  Tanned, skinny, hispanic males, with shaved heads, and tatoos qualify as suspicious.  When the cops find that the person has no record (wants and warrants), they form a circle around the person and start taunting the person, hoping the person will loose control and do something the police can consider a threat.  I am sure you know what happens, next.

This brings me to my point.  How much longer can we go around with an anti-everything attitude.  I must be honest and I say I do not spend a lot a of time trying to figure out why liberals believe what they believe.  It just appears to me that they do not like rules and want to have freedom to do what ever pops into their heads.  Furthermore, it appears like they a rebeling against authority.

The problem is that the real issues of life are not as simple as they-the liberals-explain them.  I was 20 years old when I can to some very significant conclusions on human behavior.

Out of boredom, I exmined the motives behind human action.  I think that much of what we do is becausewe just do not know any better.  The rest is because there is some internal energy that drives us towards non-beneficial actions.

However, were does the smart brain fit in.  We do have the ability to think and reason?  Don't we?

Today, the average message about life is centered on immediate gratification.  I hear very little conversation about forming a future.  Once, when I was a sub-teacher, I asked a high school class about their futures.

I was writing on the board and the following silence led me to believe it was because they did not want to do the algebra.  When I turned to see why they were not responding, one student asked me," What do you mean, future.  What is that?"

I wanted to laugh.  Everyone knows what a future is, right?  However, apparently by the serious nature of the class not every one knows.

Our actions of today need to be tied to the future we desire.  How can we know were we are going if we don't even know were we want to be.

I am upset and ashamed of the sixty percent Americans who cannot be bothered to vote.  I think this is one of the reasons many in American society struggle with life.  When forty perecent of the vote is divied there is not enough public pressure in order to force elected officials to act honorably.

We all know they act.  Every day we can the reports in the news.  However, why won't politicians do the right thing?  Have we become people without integrity?

I am starting to wonder about my integrity.  However, I do not come here to cheerlead for the republican party.  Under no circumstances will I endorse McCain.  You know what you call a person who endorses a person with no integrity?  You call them a person with no integrity.  In my opinion, Mr. McCain has no integrity.

Obama and Hillary are no difference.  Today, I learned that an incident Ms. Clinton described as "bullets flying over her head" was a lie.  I am not surprised.

In addition, on the talk radio they were discussing how in his book the Audacity of Hope Mr. Obama described his grandmother as a person who championed equality.  However, as of late Mr. Obama has called his grandmother a typical white person with superstitious fear of Afro-Ameican people.

I feel sorry for Obama's grandmother.  She is probably a very decent person.  Now, because of her grandchild's political asperations, she has been made to be a heartless racist.  Has this man no shame?

Have any of us any shame.  I am starting to have shame.  God was gracious to gift us the US of A.  What are we doing to take care of it?

When I speak in this BLOG I speak of tried and true principles that work.  Life does not just happen.  It requirres, work, vision, and perserverance.

Life also requirres realism.  All actions have consequences.  Some conseqences are good.  Some are very bad.  Trying to live a life of immediate pleasure may make feel good at first.  However, it keeps you from focusing on a future.

Moreover, I do not come here to persecute.  I come to share helpful guidance.  It saddens me when I think how much we are all our own worst enemies.  It seems we don't like ourselves much and we want to destroy ourselves as fast as possible.

Okay, I am not perfect and I am probably my own worst critic.  However, I have the option of focusing on the positive or obssessing on the negative.

I am just not willing to be part of the society that gave up.  Furthermore, I am convinced that there is a lot of human history yet to be lived.  I almost threw in the towel five times.

Maybe my life is not what I would consider the perfect ideal life, but there is a lot of joy.  Life is what we make it and attitude matters.  No one has to be a victim of life.

I say liberal policies victimize people.  There is nothing special about me.  How did I learn how to be responsible and invest in my future?  I did not get it from my mother or father.  The credit belongs to God.  Thank You, Lord.

Every person has a healthy brain and body.  I do not know the gentleman's name.  However, he could not use his arms and legs, but he was a world famous scientist.  I always want to bring this person to the attention of people I meet and who complain about how much they do not have in life.

In closing rash petty actions with the intent of helping your favorite politician may make you feel good today.  However, the future of America requirres all of to act with the future in mind.

Hard working productive people will contribute to America's success, slothfulness and goverment hand outs.

I will type it again.  I am a firm believer in "hunger pains" as motivators.
