One reason why Bush should not go to Chinese Olympics.

I have said before that we live in a time where leaders of nations and people have chosen to serve money instead of quality of morality.  Ever day we see people choosing profit over  morality.

I think it is wrong to impose on the president a morality that no longer appllies.  People in their purchases and investments fund the Chinese economy.  In addition, torture and imprisonment by immoral governments are tolerated ever day.

China is accused of punishing freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and violence and abuse.  The US of A has become a nation were because of political correctness Christian minsiters have faced criminal charges when placing Bible quotes on there billboards in front of their churches.  Therefore, under what moral indignation do people demand that president Bush not go to the Olympics in China.

The American constitution very clearly states that a person has the right of freedom of expression and freedom of religious practice.  However, Christains are under increasing persecution in America for their religious practices.  At work people get fired for having a picture of Christ on their desk.  Public school students cannot mention God in any of their essays.  Moreover, I have already mentioned the plight of Christian minsiters being charged with hate crimes because of their actions.

My point here is that America and the rest of the world has lost their morality.  I beleive the only way you can speak of moral authority is if you have morality.  How can any one accuse China or any other country of violating the right to freedom when they are contributing to religious persecution?  I have heard people say " the american congress should out law Christianity".

My next point is about the people of China.  I believe China is over a billion strong.  Not all of them are poor farmers who have been sent to re-education camps against their will.

Many Chinese are enjoying their new found wealth and buying to their hearts content.  Where is their revolution?  How come the people who have the most to loose from the Chinese governments unfair persucution are not declaring a revolution?

IF THE PEOPLE OF CHINA WILL NOT STAND AND DEMAND FREEDOM, WHAT CAN ANYONE ELSE DO?

Commerce is alive and well in China.  Many Chinese do not seem to have a problem with their governemts unfair persecution; well at least not a big enough problem to delcare war on their governemnt.

I think Mr. Bush should not go just to stand up for the concepts of justice and fair play, period. Humanity is not enhanced when people choose profit over what is right.  Look at the human experince to date and it does look deplorable.

We are all a part of this condition.  Every day we choose profit over morality.  I do not think there is a person who can say they are not in some way involved with a company that abuses people.  I myself, am involved in an industry where the cab drivers on a daily basis make a mochary of the business principle of "fair trade between seller and buyer".  My investment are in Citi.com.  I have great concerns of my banks involvement in the selling of Venezuelean oil.  However, I have not pulled my money from this bank.

Furtheremore, God gave dignity to human life.  This gift is not served when people are more focused on money then what is decent in life.  It is not decent to pesecute people because of their conscious or their politics.  In addition, there is no dignity in living like animals.

I respect president Bush enough to accept any decision he makes on the issue of attending the China Olympics.  In addition, I think that some one has to stand up for what is good and decent in life, regardless of cost to profit.

You're one bold individual to respect Bush.  That's bold man.  I'm blown away by that.  Ok.  here's my 2 cents.  I think the Chinese are pretty much under very heavy mind control.  The government dictates what they can and cannot see.  Can you imagine how it would be if the U.S. tried (harder that is) at mind controlling us like that?  Can you imagine if your state came to you and said you can't have more than 2 children.  You can't watch that tv unless it's tuned into China Inc.  With that said the Chinese engineers I work with are highly nationalistic and furthermore, anti-American (to a certain extent), or more so ethnic centered.  When they watch the news in China, they don't see the massive protests and beatings, and jailings to the tibetans.  They see a tiny resistance by the evil "Tibetans".  The reason they don't protest is because when they do they have been squashed.  Look up Tianemen Square.  It is changing though, and it will be different, as things like the internet are introduced they will find it harder to keep the blind folds on.
