The president did not misspeak.  When he was on the naval ship in front of banner 'Mission Accomplished", the president was right.  Sadam had been removed from power and the Iraqi Army had given up the fight.

The mission was to take Sadam out of power.  He was the leader of Iraq.  The war was against Iraq.  Once the leader leaves and the army stops fighting, the war is over.

It was not Mr. Bush's fault that the religious zealots wanted to control the country with insurgency.  American intelligence agents told the president that the Iraqi people would be happy to be liberated and that they would help the Americans in maintaining order and rebuilding Iraq.  However, many clerics stepped forward trying to control the Iraq.

In addition, Al Qaeda and Iran got involved in Iraq.  We know Al Qaeda has been bragging about how Iraq is the central point in the war with the infidel Americans.  We  have also seen many news reports of Iranians and Iranian weapons in Iraq.

However, the president has a good speech on the war and all the people who hate him want to make him appear to look bad.  Why else would msn.com and many other news services be talking about the five year anniversary of Bush declaring "Mission Accomplished" ?

The answer is simple.  It is because the liberals think that is when they knocked a big chunk of the president's armor.  In the growing insurgence, the liberals think that they made Bush look foolish for declaring victory.

Well this president has kept the troops in Iraq.  He managed to increase troop levels.  The congress cannot find the way to de-fund the war as they promised.  The president has even stopped congress on other crucial legislation.

If any one has managed to knock of a big chunk of anyone's armor, it is Bush.  The only thing congress has managed to do is to betray an alley by not approving free-trade with Columbia.  Wow! Aren't you the great leaders?

In life there needs to be principles.  America's enemies need to know were the lines are drawn.  Some weeks ago Hillary answered that we would have the reason to totally obliterate them, when asked what would she would do if Iran threatened Israel.

I don't believe her. I think she just said it to look like she could be commander in chief.  She is gaining on Hussien Obama and it is time for part C of plan A.  I don't even think Americas enemies believe her.

However, you can bet they know what Bush will do if they misbehave?  I am going  miss this great leader that makes America's enemies quake in their boots.
