     I want to preface this article by saying that issues of faith and the Bible are very serious to me and I do not comment on these issues lightly.

     The conservatives radio host have been paying attention to some of Mr. Obama's comments on the Bible.  The tape these conservative radio talk show hosts have been playing is about two years old and in my opinion shows a very cynical attitude in Obama over the Bible.

     In my opinion the only people who can give Bible lessons are people who have had an honest encounter with Jesus Christ, which lead to this person asking Christ to be his Lord and Savior, has the Holy Spirit in them, and has studied the Bible.  By what I heard Mr. Obama say about the Bible Mr. Obama has none of these qualities.

     I heard a very sarcastic and cynical person trying to use Bible verses to be ironic.  The actual statements of Obama do not deserve any more attention.  Any one who desires to hear them can do a keyword search and find his statements on the Internet.

       What Mr. Obama needs to known is that God wrote the Bible and allowed man to scribe it for Him.  Any person who has had a real conversion, respects God's word and considers it sacred.  I do not need for people to agree with me in order for my beliefs to have value.  People who do not believe in the Bible, do not take value away from the Bible.

     Taken in context, the Bible is a good guide to live life.  It is God's map top life.  We do not have to guess what God wants.  All we have to do is read the Bible.

     Now, Mr. Obama, in my opinion, took several verses of the Bible out of context.  The Old Testament was written to the Jews.  Today, God has a different relationship with humanity.  It is an inclusive relationship.  As Jesus said I have come so all may be saved and none should perish.

      However, the Old Testament has power today because it is God telling us if you do this then this will be the consequence.  Any one who performs the behavior, knowing the consequences, chooses the punishment.  That is why God's judgement is righteous.  He has told all of us the consequences of our behavior.  If God tells us what He is going to do, how can we complain when we are judged and punished.

     I do not know what kind of religious experience Mr. Obama had in order to say he is A Christian. I was not there and I am not able to tell from his behavior.  However, I have a college degree from a regionally accredited Christian University.   I have never heard a loving and faithful servant of God interpret the Bible like Mr. Obama did on the tape I was listening today.

     The worst part was Mr. Obama's mocking and cynical attitude.  When you speak of the Bible you speak of the things of God.  In other words you speak of God. God is not unfair.  God is not playing with people.  I have read the sermon on the mount, I have not seen anything that points to were Jesus was talking about homosexual love. 

     Look as a person you do have free will.  You can obey or you can disobey.  Just cause you like you, does not mean you are worthy of eternity in Heaven.  What I am saying here is that your personal life is not a concern to me.  I am not going to go crazy because you refuse to accept Christ.

     I know he loves you and would be happy with your return.  However, it is your choice to make.  In addition, God not changing to meet your expectations does not mean you have the right to ridicule him.

     Mr. Obama's deliberate misuse of Bible verses with the attempt to mislead shows he has very little respect for God.
