a tip on how to curve our anger

It is hard to imagine how we got to be so persecutory and anti-everything. I do not see a common shared decency in people.

Everyday, I see examples of man’s inhumanity to man: and I not talking about what goes on in countries that are run by ruthless dictators.

I am talking about the dirty looks, antagonistic comments, and right down viciousness of people.

Where I am working right now there are two women that have taken upon themselves to cause me a lot of grief. They are always making comments about my work to the manager. When I see this manager, he looks at me like I have killed his favorite pet.

I was hired to do a job and that is what I am going to do. I cannot believe that instead of concentrating on my duties, I have to be fighting this public relations war.

This dilemma has brought me to think about how we got so bad.

I think the lack of good influences is the problem. There are more people being cruel and vicious than talking about being nice.

This is an important issue because what we ultimately get in life has to do with what kind of a person we are in life.

Peace, joy, happiness, and comfort are internal human qualities. They cannot be purchased.

No amount of money is going to make a person happy.

Of course, no amount of outside philosophy is going to make a person happy either.

Philosophy is only good when a person values it.

In addition, I repeat if a person’s philosophy is great than their life is great. I find more depression, turmoil, and foolish human behavior than joy filled individuals with out hang-ups.

Unfortunately, we have grown up in a culture that has been trained by the media on how to be cruel and inhuman. Look all movies of our time and you will see the worse human behaviors being glorified.

Moreover, it does have an impact. Can you honestly say you do not look unto your neighbor with revile, anger, contempt. Are you a mellow driver or a yahoo full of road rage? When you are at work, are you working our gossiping about your coworkers?

When you hear a news story about a deranged person getting shot by police, do you say he got what he deserved or do you acknowledge the event as a tragedy?

You may question whether these questions have value. You may even wonder who am I to judge anyone.

The difference between judging and forming an opinion is that when you have facts it is appropriate to form an opinion.

I have seen people at their worse. Every day it does get worse. Some times, I do not even want to go out because I do not want to confront the evil in the world.

A point that is even more important is that people in America are the defining line between total hardships or some semblance of decency.

We may not like, but, if America falls so does the world.

Right know there is a culture of hate brewing in America. People for no real reason are beginning to despise their neighbor.

I see road rage, reports of stabbings, work place violence, police abuse, political corruption, and many other tragedies that the news media displays for us everyday as signs of this troublesome culture.

However, I know that the majority of people just want a simple life; free of conflict.

In addition, I also know that people are trying to stay loyal to their real self, but struggling.

It is up to every one of us to work together at strengthening America. We know what is right.

There is no need to fear cooperate America, the news media, and/or politicians.

In order for us to make a positive and meaningful contribution, we have to have a mature and informed perspective.

If we keep evaluating our behaviors and our reasons for our behaviors we can see where we are being spiteful and vicious and where we are a decent person.

I will honestly say I have no hope for this world. I do not believe that as a whole people have what is required to live up to their potential.

I do believe in the individual. You can start today a journey of self-discovery that will lead you to peace, joy, comfort, and happiness.

In addition, with out purpose life is meaningless. I believe true meaning in life comes from Jesus Christ.

I have not figured out my true place. However, I know there are people out there that can be helped by me shinning some light on troubling behaviors.

I found out a long time ago that we are our own worse enemies. I do not think that other people have harmed me as much as I have harmed myself.

The majority of my self-abuse came from trying to live a false philosophy. I now know that we were built with a purpose in mind and that this purpose incorporates the standards of decency, kindness, respect, perseverance, achievement, sympathy, empathy, wisdom, self-respect, restraint, and sharing.

Moreover, if we do not practice our good behaviors we loose. Immature people who value nothing fight for nothing.

Ah, a true believer in Semantic (The Science of Meaning)........I ditto u.....I am not an American, but I believe I might have been born during a severe acid test at Woodstock.....I still bare the traces of rare mud upon my conscience.....but having covered this distance with the hard minds here gathered, might I add that: "What is Truth" answer "Jesus Christ" might be my additions to your journey to self discovery...it is uncanny though so many philosophers of the past have made these type journeys, and with very little success. Ultimately they ended up with Economics and Sociology....The never really settled the point of Meaning....I personally believe that it is wrapped up in something very few have an anwer for an that was my preceding question. There is so much that is passed of as truth these days, that it is no wonder that deception is stronger than it has every been in History, the global village has been suckered into signing peace treaties with the enemy of their souls...just look deeper and see how many lie in the lie....lie, lie, lie, lie..........Boxed out.
