Caring Does Not Make Us God

This entry is for all who think government should care more.

If you care so much about what you see as injustice, where is your non-profit organization. I see to many people saying “government, government”

In my opinion, government should safeguard working person's money (taxes)and safeguard the contract (constitution) between government and the people.

Instead of creating a system that makes people dependent and less likely to work for themselves by demanding social services from government people should start their own non-profit and take advantage of the opportunity to care, get involved, and make a difference.

EMOTIONAL HEART VS GOD

It is good to care.

There is nothing wrong with getting involved.

However, caring for the plight of humans does not mean we have become in charge of life and can administrate it at our will.

God started life.

He has a plan for it.

Do no make the mistake of thinking that people who are facing hardship have been afflicted by outside forces and have no control over their lives.

Every person who has a soul, mind, back, legs, and arms has all they need to provide for themselves.

Just because we care does not mean we have become in charge and can do what we want.

To many people think that caring is a badge of honor and gives them the right to do what they want.

Keep in mind that believer and non-believer are all under the justice of God.

Interesting you should use the name of God to spread hatred, and on Christmas day of all days! I think God wants us to help those who are in need.

Great article!! In fact, I think people want government to "care" so they can feel all warm and fuzzy, but not have to do crap themselves.

The government has its in working towards the common good, and when it does that job there is opportunity for the most people.

Too many people forget that, if we want to be free to help others, it is up to us to say, "I'll do it" instead of "Government, why aren't you doing it!"

To me God is the ultimate example of this. He could wave his hand and everything would be there for us (much like in the Garden of Eden)... but that wouldn't give us the opportunity to do for ourselves, or each other. There would be no growth, no learning and no purpose in living.

'Do no make the mistake of thinking that people who are facing hardship have been afflicted by outside forces and have no control over their lives.'

Quite right. All those people who lost their homes, their livelihoods, their families, their lives in the tsunami a year ago, and in the New Orleans hurricane rather more recently ... well, they have nothing to pin the blame on but their own laziness.

God grants every bird its seed, but he doesnt deliver it to the damn nest for them.

Very good statement. May I quote you?
