Some of the great issues of the day on conservative talk radio were the golden globes, immigration, single women, and Fox’s 24 program. I like entertainment and though I know the entertainment field is putting out garbage I think we would be a worst society if there were no music, movies, or TV programs. On immigration from Mexico I say why don’t these Mexicans put the amount energy in making their country what they want it to be that they use in entering this country. The issue of s...

Of everything, I heard and read today what got my attention most is the stories of Martin Luther King, the civil rights leader in the 1960’s. From her beginning, America has gone through many different challenging crises. Today, it seems that many see America in her biggest crisis. The answer to some is just run and hide and everything will be okay. I wonder if Mr. King would offer us that kind of advice. From what I have seen of his life he did not run and hide. In addition, he k...

We do not consider many things. I was thinking today that if I were wrong about God and religion then I would die having reached a point in my life where I value good money management, personal responsibility, and human life. However, if I am right then many people are going to have a rude awakening in hell. I think our own arrogance can get us in to a lot of trouble. In addition, we live in a time where we have given our selves permission to be as vicious and violent as we want t...

Sometimes you say stuff but you just do not want to believe it. I have said stuff such as democrats only want to make president Bush look bad. The amount of sinister energy necessary for this deliberate effort to skew the facts in order to cause the president trouble is beyond the human ability to comprehend. However, there they were in front of the cameras calling Iraq Bush’s Vietnam and the worst mistake he ever made. I can tell that their comments have nothing to do with trut...

Tonight the president is going to speak to the nation. The tragedy is that even before he has spoken the naysayers are already trashing the content of the speech. On previous occasions, I have written about the popularity of putting some one down just for the sake of putting them down. I know that many practice this sport. In addition, I know that the democrats have been playing politics with the Iraq issue just because it makes them look good in the mainstream news media. In my op...

The big debate of the day is the president’s plan to increase the amount of military personnel in Iraq. I have heard several democrats say that Americans spoke on Nov. 7, 2007 and they do not want a troop increase in Iraq. Again, 60 percent of Americans do not think the security of the nation is important enough to be bothered to vote. The elections were close and I would say the distribution was 21% in favor of democrats and 19% in favor of republicans. Therefore, I would find the ...

I will start today by saying that we really do not know much. Any person who makes a living out of true study and investigation I will at least listen to what they say. However, listening does not necessarily mean I am going to agree with them. I think it is sad that we live in a world where every one has convinced them selves that they are the sole authority on every issue. Imagine getting to heaven waiting for Christ’s judgment and finally realizing that every thing you thought was ...

This news story I heard back in the days leading in to Christmas 2006. To me we are going in to the third week after Christmas. The reason I write about it is that I work in the industry that is the backdrop for this story. Apparently, there are Muslims from Somalia who drive taxis in an American city and are refusing to give service to people carrying alcohol and/or have a dog with them. People who are apposed to these actions by these cab drivers make their arguments on basis of a p...

I am sitting here watching the official ceremony of president Ford’s funeral at Washington D.C. At a time Jesus Christ once was asked something, where he responded “…let the dead bury the dead”. When the body dies the soul leaves and is received in heaven or the other place. At the second, Mr. Ford’s body stopped functioning he appeared where he is going to spend eternity. Let us hope that God in heaven embraced him. Funerals and ceremonies are human creation made to make humans fe...

We are foolish if we think that we can expect justice from the powers at be. I am sure that there is no reason for people in authority to work with a common sense understanding. In addition, I am sure fair play and respect is out the window. Those of us expecting teachers, doctors, police, judges, politicians, and any other authority figure to listen to us are fooling our selves. It is unfortunate but I know that we have entered the “us against them” era. They think one way and we th...

The mission was to unseat a very dangerous man in a new terrorist environment. I do not believe that Sadam Huesien (and no I do not want to spell his name right) would invest in WMD for no purpose. I also do not believe that he would invest in a weapon and give it or them up with out being made to. Every person who questions whether Mr. Sadam had WMD needs to read the United Nations 1996 report. In my opinion, it is disingenuous to claim that today we are living in dangerous times. ...

How do you maintain you integrity? Would it help to know who you are? Moreover, how much can we really ask of our selves? This is after all a complicated world. So what if we speed now and then or look at the girl with a short skirt who bends over to fix her stockings/ Are we supposed to be perfect? How can any one person actually expect to never make a mistake? Better yet, what becomes of a world where we all can conveniently excuse or bad behaviors with complex sophisticated di...

Work does suck. It is suppose to suck. If it did not suck, you would want to spend more time at work then at home. Another point is that your employer is not to blame for everything that went wrong in your life. They have given you a job and it is up to you to use it to accomplish some personal goals. I think that many are missing half of the employment equation. They know they have to work, but they do not know the value of work. When you work you earn and you can use what you e...

They say there is no solution to the Iraq problem. Well let me see what I can contribute to the conversation. Iraq now has a Prime minister, a parliament, and an army. To me this is a country. In my opinion, this means that Iraq has to decide what assistance it wants from America. Now, if the governing body of Iraq decides they still want American assistance, then I suggest the following. American soldiers should be moved to areas that are pacified and should only serve in a suppo...

“The sins of the father shall be visited upon the son.” I am here meditating on what all the political ramblings concerning terrorism mean to the average individual. The first point I would make is that it is going to raise prices and cause people economic hardship. In addition, in certain areas of the world it is going to cause people real hardship and threaten their lives, if not take thei r lives. I would say that it is very important for the USA to stop trying to be the police...
